2. Is Savvy Singers Magazine a natural, unplanned progression from PRVM or an intentional part of growing the PRVM Brand?
It was not a part of PRVM’S 2017-2018 business manifesto but rather an idea sparked while at one of her coaching sessions that, after much thought, became an intentional tool to support students and strengthen the PRVM brand.
Shelly's vision is to use the Savvy Singers Magazine as another resource that will be used to continue her efforts at empowering new and upcoming artiste within her community. To share vocal tips and guidance from industry leaders that will help them prepare, position and represent themselves to the public, media and industry leaders more equipped and impacting so that they have a better chance at making a positive and productive first impression while staying true to their authentic selves.
3. Putting a magazine together must be no easy feat, what was/were the main lesson(s) learned in the process?
The process, while exciting and informative definitely wasn't a smooth one with straight lines! There were days of happy dancing, and then there were times tears of frustration flowed, and I had to speak joy into my soul. Pulling away from everything and looking into the mirror repeating to myself, "That which you do repeatedly gets easier, not that the task itself has gotten easier Shells, but your ability to execute has increased, so take a deep breath and take another step!"

4. What are three (3) things you would recommend to Christian singers for their development?
i. Discover your 'Why'
I totally believe knowing the reason why you are pursuing anything influences everything and keeps you focused. Getting clear on your intended outcome and personal incentive for doing a thing can assist with keeping you streamlined and focused. It’s like your compass you consult when or if you get off course or distracted.

ii. Practice Personal Development
Introspection, positive beliefs, self-care, knowing when to rest and refuel and refresh, building confidence, self-esteem, and worth, belief in self and not being afraid to dream big. Ignore naysayers and don’t allow fear to hinder you from dreaming big! Understanding that you are a treasure chest of rich possibility that the world needs! Be nice to people & stay humble.iii. Be Spiritually GroundedStay close to god build a relationship. Avoid getting caught up with working “in the kingdom of God “versus “for the kingdom of God.” Seek to be potent over popular, and you will naturally become popular as a result of your potency instead of becoming popular with no potency.

5. Who are some of the singers who will feature and are hoping to feature in upcoming editions?
This is difficult to answer. I haven’t given serious consideration to who’s next as that could change by the time we get into content creation for the next edition. Students are constantly growing exploring and achieving. Based on the dynamics within the community I can’t say at this time. The community is rich with talent, and therefore that’s a hard question. Lol….
The Savvy Singers Magazine http://bit.ly/savvysingersmagazinedigitalcopy will be an annual publication so time will be taken to fine tune the next publication.
Where was the launch venue?
The launch was hosted at my home. My garden and yard were transformed by a team of event coordinators and landscapers all of whom are students of the academy. We wanted a cosy feel in a space familiar to the PRVM family so students and their family members could come and relax, socialize, network and have fun.
" I have a passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed, motivating and empowering them to pursue their passions and goals with joy as well as sharing the mindset that it requires for success within the kingdom of God."
"If your talent is not saving you or your hearers hit the reset button because your life's purpose has to be fulfilled."
